Virtuemart Featured Products Extended VM 1.0.15

The featured products module (extended) is a nice change from the standard VM featured products module that allows greater configuration options on your products 'on special'.

• Choose number of displayed products
• Choose to show Product Price following VM price availability rules
• Choose to show an Add-To-Cart button
• Select either a table or liquid list design layouts!
• Use standard VM browse templates or create your own!
• For table layouts, choose to have colored rows or not
• View items in all or selected categories only
• Filter mode to view items from current category only
• Filter mode to view items from current manufacturer only
• Create additional module copies for different module positions!

This module has been around for a while but development seemed to stop at VM 1.0.12. It was originally available through the Virtuemart forum as a free download. Then the module went commercial and development continued so that it is still available today for VM 1.1 from joomlaxtc. This download is the original free download version for VM 1.0.12 but I have modified the ps_product.php so that it is now compatible with Virtuemart 1.0.15.

It can be seen working here - www.carstuffdirect.co.uk - the main page content has a region marked as "featured product  of the day". This is the module doing it's stuff.

Installation instructions: Install as a module in the normal way but replace your current ps_product.php file with the one included in the zipfile. Note: this ps_product.php is tested under VM 1.0.15 only. Replace this file with the one included in the zipfile.
